Firstly it's no where near the size of the Irish Navy ship, second it's spelt LE Aisling which today was decommissioned from the Navy after 36 years of great service to the state

I like big boats and I can not lie
    You other brothers can't deny
That when a vessel sails in with an itty bitty ballast
And a round thing in your face
You get sprung, want to pull up tough

She is back at the Naval base in Cork, all her military equipment will be removed then she will be put up for sale.

Why was her final event in galway?

Why was her final event in galway?

When she was launched 36 years ago she was twinned with Galway, her crews over that time have raised thousands for the children's ward in UHG, when ever she was in Galway the crew would visit the children there. All Irish Navy ships are twinned with a town or City. LE James Joyce twinned with Waterford, LE Samuel Beckett twinned with Cork , LE Eithne Dublin not sure of the other 5 ships .

Are we getting the replacement vessel twinned with us?

More than likely yes, currently on sea trials in the UK due to be handed over next month

What purpose would a future buyer use her for?
