How can I make it up to bf?

I have recently had bad news in my family and my mood has been all over the place. As a result I have picked a few fights with my bf and given him slack over trivial issues and basically took it all out on him.
I want to make it up to him and do something nice or buy him something to say sorry but I'm clueless to know what. Has anyone any ideas?

I replied to your other thread so I know what this is all about. I think you should just be open and honest with your boyfriend. Tell him how you feel about your mum's cancer diagnosis and that you're all over the place. I also think you should tell him what it is you'd like him to do. People don't always know what to do in situations like this. Step back? Step in? What?
