Hi I am currently receiving jobseekers allowance and am on the casual dockets. My query relates to the fact if I was to apply for disability benefit and was accepted what type of work I could do. I believe you can work up to twenty hours a week. I am in my late thirties and suffered from mental illness for over twenty years and have never been able to hold down a full time job. I think i could manage part time work, for eg could you work as a taxi driver and recieve illness benefit. Sorry If this post isn't very detailed.

Disability allowence is very difficult to get speaking from experience,
Your allowed to do work that's considered rehabilitative once it's cleared with your doctor and department .
