Toyota Yaris 2008 - looking for 4 new tyres: can anyone help figure out how much I'll be charged? I haven't a notion and don't want my friends / family laughing after I buy them saying "they saw you coming!"

As a general rule of thumb if you have never heard of the brand before avoid like the plague unless you are buying them just to pass the NCT in which case whatever cheapest rubbish they have will suit you. For a Yaris your looking around 70-90 for premium tyres, avoid anything made in China if safety and your life is a concern.

Lot of premium stuff is made in China to be fair, but the rule of thumb about having heard of the brand is a good one.

Ask for Uniroyal RainExpert, they should be less than 100 euro per tyre fitted onto the car.

Jaysus, you could get good years or bridgestones for around 75 fitted for that size (185/60/15 I assume)

It's 185/60R15 I think. Oponeo has both mid range (Hankook, Uniroyal) and Premium (Bridgestone, Goodyear) for around €65 each in that size, so €100 a corner fitted from a B&M outfit is way too much, certainly.

They have the RainExpert 3 in H speed rating for only €58.

Yes I just meant tyres made there.
