Octavia or Mazda 3

Test drove an Octavia and Mazda 3 in the last few days and I'm still on the fence about which to get. Slightly leaning towards the Octavia if I'm honest as it feels bigger inside and maybe a slightly nicer driving position but I'm still not sure as the Mazda is a really nice looking car.
Anyone got any thoughts that could sway me one way or the other.
Going for petrol elegance in the Octavia and Executive SE in Mazda 3.
    Similar spec, almost identical price.

Can you add the links for both cars please.

The Skoda Octavia has a huge boot , its on the VW golf platform, Ive an Octavia Elegance, great looking car also, never had any trouble with it, are you going for the 1.2 TSI engine ?

Its actually a 1 litre octavia, apparently its new and the dealer said you can't get the 1.2 or bigger anymore apart from stuff that has already shipped. It 115 horespower apparently. The car in the link is a 1.2.

Have you driven the 1.0 yet, I would guess it is 3 cylinder as I rented the 75ps 1.0 Fabia and it was. The 1.2 is 4 cylinder. It couldn't be as refined.

Id have reservations about the new engine as a lot of the early versions of recent VW engines are flawed, I wouldn't want to be doing the beta testing on them
