    Hi Lads,

Looking to get tracking done on my Audi TT Quattro

It passed the NCT but the Rear Axle seems to be borderline

    Any recommendations?

Discount tyres in Blanchardstown are good, up in Rosemount.

You may also have a bushing is gone on the rear suspension.

If you had tested it in another lane I wonder would it show the back axle going to the other side. I have some reservations about the repeatability and accuracy of their gear. I have as many if not more reservations about the average tyre place employee's ability to track a car - especially rear end.

Are you wearing tyres funny and can you feel anything up with the handling?

Well there is a faint thrumming sound coming from the rear that increases with the speed and I assume this is related

Ugh that might be other things, hopefully not the more expensive possibilities!

Has the car had the correct haldex servicing?
Discount know these cars well and have aligned a lot of them.

It has yes, car has been very well maintained.

As I said, it actually Passed the NCT I'm just being a good owner and giving the car what I think it needs based on the test results.. despite it being a Pass :P
