Any idea what this is used for? I assume some sort of animal watching but is it birds or deer or what? I've never seen anything like it before. Came across it while out hill walking on saturday - a substantial metal chair and ladder bolted to a tree.

It's a high seat used for hunting deer mostly

But not at this time of year ( its closed season on deer ) could also be used by a photographer
