Metal Pipe suitable for shelving

I'm looking for somewhere in Dublin area that might have similar piping or tubing metal available that would allow for the suspension of a simple shelf like this:



Or indeed, if there are any clever 'hacks' I could do with commonly available furniture that'd create a similar effect.

Have you considered using threaded bar, nuts and washers?.You can get it in 3 M lengths and various diameters, steel or stainless steel images.jpeg

3/4 inch Galvanised gun barrell will also do the job. You can get it in NY Engineering workshop.

I'd consider it, although I'd want to be able to cover up the threaded parts afterwards somehow

1inch copper pipe polished up could look snazzy enough or else black PVC pipe 2 inch to cover the bolts on the threaded bar.

+1 for snazzy copper pipe . I have seen threaded bar that had been painted red and then polished off, leaving the paint only in the grooves for funky two-tone effect.
