Was looking at em the other, and lambs aren't doing too bad. Although I do find the lleyns very tight looking compared to the Suffolky lambs. They not a terminal breed though, so thats that :)

Was planing to wean 1st July, but I think we away that weekend now, so will d it the weekend after... Tat'll be long enough to leave em with the ewes, and better for me for some kinda half attempt at grass management to have the ewes following the lambs and cleaning out the paddocks some bit...

EDIT : Looking forward to weighing em, and see what the average weight is. Be interesting to see how they doing this year...

Had them in this evening while shearing and was very surprised how well they were doing considering the grass had gone so far ahead of them.

Grass might look desperate but as long as you have leaf on the stem they'll do alright, however when you try to make them graze it out is the prob

Looking at my own here, mid March singles look nearly the same size as their mothers, now their sheared, but mid April twins still look fair small in comparison. But all in one group, so have to be weaned together.
