I applied for a job on monster.ie only to get a call from a recruiter with Osborne recruitment they want to meet with me to see if I'd be suitable for any roles. I've never had experience with an agency and I'm not too sure what to expect. Will I be charged for meeting with the recruiter on the day? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

No you won't be charged. You will sit down with them and they will go through your CV and have a chat with you about what type of roles you are looking for and will cross match that with any positions that they have available. Good luck!

I am under the impression that recruiters have KPI's to get candidates into the office for a chat. I've been called in numerous times before, there wasn't any suitable jobs to discuss, it was a waste of my time and frustrating.

Now I refuse to call into a recruitment agency when asked unless there's a specific role to discuss, otherwise whatever they want can be discussed over the phone.
