Hello there. Apologies if this has been asked before. I tried a search but didn't find anything specific to my query.

I have applied for incapacitated child tax credit and have received p21 for the last 3 years. Does anyone have an idea how long revenue takes to refund into a bank account. I received the p21 just over a week ago. I know I can ring them up but don't want to come across as too persistent. Will appreciate you guys help.

    Regards.

Hi, it takes about a week or so to be refunded into your account m. Make sure you have your bank details set up on paye online for them to do the refund. I had put mine through and it took just over the week for it to lodge into my account.

Just so you know in some cases it's applicable from birthday.
My son is autistic and was diagnosed in sept 2014 but I was able to claim from his birth in 2013.
I had originally put down his diagnosis date but further research on forums highlighted that autism is one of those that can be claimed from birth so I was able to submit the same form and claim for 2013/2014.

Thanks very much. We have been in the same situation. My daughter has recently been diagnosed with Autism. It didnt come as a surprise though. Revenue have been kind enough to backdate the claim to her birthday. They were very fast as well. Took only two weeks to process and I have already received p21s for the last 3 years. Now waiting on the funds to arrive in the bank.

    Hi kayser

Sorry, don't want to hijack your thread but can you tell me are you still waiting for your rebate, we applied 1st July and have not yet received anything. We received an amended tax credit cert two weeks ago. We rang the helpline and it just said correspondence received 03.07, its just over 6 weeks now.

    Thanks

Hi there. It did take ~4 weeks for me to get the p45 and another week to get the payment into my account. I think it shouldn't take you long now. In my case i sent the form and psychological report from paye. Didnt even need to post them anything.

03.07 is a Sunday, 3 weeks ago? If you applied on the first of July, how is it 6 weeks? Today is only the 18th of July

Made a mistake with the date ...it was received by revenue 03.6. still waiting. Rang them, only assigned 22.07.
