    Unemployed since May.

May, June, July, most of august. will have a job starting end of august.

Living at home 31 years old.

Do you think I can sign on to have some income for June, July and some of August?

If you are available and looking for full time work then it shouldnt preclude you from signing for jobseekers. I am assuming that your career break doesnt prohibit you from working.

Are you actually looking for work?

They don't know youre on a 'career break' and dont tell them that, just say youre looking for work. Sign on straight away, you wont get a payment for about 6 weeks but you'll get those 6 weeks backdated.

The application form asks where you last worked and why you left.

While on career break you are still technically in employment. SW will write to your employer to find out the circumstances of your leaving employment.

They'll also look for your P45. You'll get nothing without that.
