Hi I am 37 years of age and have grade 3 chrondromalacia in both knees. I have had two arthroscopies it bought be some time with the right knee but the left knee was never the same after. I have undergone years of physio, orthotics and even been to a pain specialist. I now every evening must ice my knee and apply copious amount of voltorol I can no longer bend done without awful pain. I had to get my bathroom altered. I am really at my wits end. I have been told that I am not a candidate for a knee replacement. I don't really want to go down the road of a partial replacement as I hear that the success rate isn't great. Does anybody know anything about cartilage replacement theraphy? If there are any other people out there in a similar situation please let me know would love any advice. I would consider going abroad for treatment but don't know of any proven ones.
