I'm studying maths, science and physics teaching and I was wondering how I'd go about getting a job when I'm done! Would I be best off getting a masters in either maths or physics first or should I go straight into working? Has anyone with these subjects found it hard to get a job?

I would go straight into work. Getting a job is not easy so be ready for a few years subbing. I'm not sure about the demand for science teachers at the moment. Check out educationposts.ie for vacancies. Also the ETB websites.

I would go straight to working. Maths and Physics are good subject to have at the moment. I know a good few chemistry/biology teachers that are teaching physics at the moment because schools couldn't find qualified Physics teachers. Maths teachers are also doing ok so you should be fine.
I'm a science teacher (first year qualified) and was working 17 of my own hours this year and have the same job for next year.
