My gf is in the process of taking legal action against a company via (PIAB)after she was injured. All forms have been filled out however re received correspondence stating that the name of the company and its location is not valid. We double checked to see if it was still in business and it is under the same name. It's a chain of restaurants and when we go to the website I have noticed that this particular chain is not on it. What's the best way to find out information about said company ?

Have you tried a CRO search?

It's unwise to try to identify the respondent yourself.

If you get it wrong, you may not realise your mistake until it is too late to correct it.

You should go to a solicitor.

Depending on the restaurant they might be run as franchises and all have a different company name.

If you want to make sure its done right go to a professional, would your girlfriend be in safe hands if you or a non qualified person treated her injuries. If you get this wrong and you are on notice that you are wrong you may be out of time by the time you find out. This is easy for a solicitor to sort out as he knows how and or he may have sued the organisation before.
