Question 1: Is Irish Water still charging?

We will continue to issue bills to Irish Water customers for the 5th billing cycle. This covers water usage up to the 31st of March. Bills up until this date should be paid. Once this bill cycle is complete, billing will be suspended.

Question 2: Will you be using Bitcoin as a payment Option?

There are currently no plans to introduce Bitcoin as a payment option. However, please see here for a list of our payment options.

Question 3: Is the Boil Water Notice in Whitegate still in place?

The Boil Water Notice on the Whitegate/Dower Regional Water Supply Scheme remains in place, and Irish Water continues to prioritise the lifting of this notice as soon as possible. We will post any updates to both @IWCare and wtr.ie/Cork

Question 4: What can I do to keep up with service disruptions?

You can keep up to date with outages in your area here and you can follow up on @IWCare, where we tweet any supply notices and updates we receive.

Question 5: Is the Boil Water Notice in Loughrea Boil Water Notice still in place?

The Loughrea Boil Water Notice is currently still in place and Irish Water is working with the HSE and the EPA with a view to lifting this as soon as possible.

You can keep up to date by following us on @IWCare or checking out wtr.ie/Galway for any updates.
