How are leaving cert results distributed to schools?

    Something that I've always been curious about is how exactly the results are distributed to schools around the country. Are they sent by post or are they delivered directly to the school somehow? Also, are the results somehow available to the principal/deputy principal before the students?

    Some schools collect them directly from the local An Post delivery office. I think there is a very early delivery arranged if not picked up directly.

    Not sure if Athlone schools can get them direct from Cornamaddy or also go the An Post route.

    They have to be checked and put in envelopes along with the viewing/recheck form by the school before being given out.
