Hi all just wondering if anyone is in the same situation.
I received a susi overpayment last year and spent it.
I phoned the number on the letter, left a message and got no reply so ignored it.
I want to do a masters in the next couple of years, will my application be rejected outright?
I read about overpayments being wrote off due to susi error?
I know the logical thing is to contact susi again and arrange some payment scheme but Im unemployed at the moment and hoping its wrote off before I contact them.
Just wondering if anyone else in the same situation?

Don't think you can get funding anymore for masters, as far as I understand it was phased out

No it would not effect any future applications.

SUSI were before a public account committee were they requested approval for writing off the overpayments due to clerical errors but this request was turned down as far as I know. The reason was that they could not allow them to write off public money.

However, I've yet to hear anyone getting a solicitors letter from SUSI regarding the recovery of any overpayments or going to court.
