Use to read these regularly when I was younger and have been getting back into them. Just wondered if there are any suggestions for graphic novels or comics of a similar nature. Heavy Metal is also one I enjoy when I am in the states.

I had a graphic novel called Arckham Asylum as a kid which I also loved. Not sure where that went but it was dark as hell. I was of the impression that it was a lot heavier than most batman stuff.

Preacher is always a good read, I would highly recommend that.
The Walking Dead and Outcast are great also.
If You are looking for the Classics, I would Go for Batman "The Dark Knight Returns", "The Killing Joke" and " The Long Halloween".
"Kingdom Come" and "Flashpoint" are great DC universe epics. A particular favorite of Mine is "Wolverine, Old Man Logan" .
The "Sandman" "Swamp Thing" and "V for Vendetta" are must reads.
If You make it trough that lot, Let us know if You enjoyed it :)

I did spot Preacher in Easons and flipped through it. Sounds like it might be a good starting point! Your other suggestions sound interesting too!

I am going to see how on might source Heavy Metal, never saw it in Easons although I did notice a sign they had up saying you can request any magazines they might not have in stock. Might give that a shot!
