Suspected murder of pets (And other cases)

Im in a very tricky situation, im stuck living at home with my father at the moment (Though I can move whenever I want) I had a pet cat since I was 12, around August 2013 I was woken up by my cat who was acting very strange, also I had no idea how he got in my room since the door was closed and he wasn't here before I went to sleep. I decided to take him to the vet as soon as I had my breakfast, however, he started screaming. My father immediately left his room and said "Was that the cat?" I phoned the vet and said I would bring the cat up, I suspected a heart attack (He was 13 human years old) The vet told me he had died from poisoning 20 minutes later (The evidence was very clear since there was green foam coming from his mouth)

In February 2016 a kitten followed my brother home, we decided to look after her until we found the real owners, I put up a lost cat add a few days later on a website, I got a phone call the following day but they were looking for a different cat. I kept her entirely in my room since I didn't trust my father and we have a dog living here anyway, she would come in and out through the window. A month passed and no-one else tried to claim her so I decided to go and get her spayed, the bill was pretty expensive but I didn't mind.

One day I was microwaving some food and my father chose that moment to leave the living room and go near me to get some cups, I don't like him near me so I used my arm to gently push him to the side since I wanted to make my food in peace. He flipped his sh*t at this and went off on a crazy rant, I kept telling him to calm the hell down but he wouldn't listen (As all narcissits don't) A few minutes later he tried to get into my bedroom (I suspected he was going to destroy my computer or attack my kitten) so I grabbed him by the chest and pushed him away from the door since he wouldn't calm down himself. He kept threatening to call the gards and I said "Go on so, the gards don't help criminals :p Go off there and make an arse of yourself :D" He went off anyway with his friend and the gards never came. The next morning he was loudly saying to my brother that he was going to get his solicitor involved against me and I shouted "Shut UP, he doesn't f*cking care!" (I figured they don't help criminals let alone broke ones with debts)

I was told I needed to bring the kitten back up to have the stitches removed, my father knew about this. I fell asleep at 8PM a few days before her appointment, she was still in my room, my father was in the living room and the window was open. I got a text at 12 from my brother saying a friend was coming over to borrow his PS4, the kitten had left my room at this time, my brothers friend came over 5 minutes later and collected the console. I woke up again around 4AM and went on my computer for a while, around 9AM I got up to make breakfast, as soon as I left my room, my father left his and said "How's the cat?" When he said this the first thing that went through my mind was "What the f*ck did you do to her!?"

The kitten never returned from that day, I went and searched around all the nearby ditches and areas for her body but found nothing. I found my brothers friend and told him what happened and asked if he saw anything unusual that night, he said my father wasn't in the living room at that time and the cat was nowhere to be seen (I don't suspect my brothers friend at all) She still hasn't returned and my father said one of our neighbors saw her in another neighborhood, but I suspect this is total bullsh*t to cover up what he did

My father tried to kill both me and my mother at least once, molested my youngest brother, punched a 13YO girl in the face twice in front of her mother (Who later developed cancer) and has done other things he's gotten away with. I feel the biggest crime im committing right now is allowing someone so sick and unstable to thrive in our society, but I don't know what to do, should I call the gards, consult a solicitor? The fact we're living together makes this very difficult to decide

I'm no solicitor, but Jesus, just move. Why would you voluntarily live with someone like that?

@Vojera Free rent, the fact is though, this house is supposed to be for me and my two brothers but my father refused to sign the divorce papers my mother gave him (She's been dead since 2008)

You say in your OP that you can move any time you want. Some things are worth more than money and your safety and peace of mind are priceless.

@Vojera Well I probably will be moving again at the end of the year since it's very likely i'll have a job soon, im just trying to keep things low for now until im in a comfortable position to legally screw him over and take our house off him before he ends up losing it to debt

Lad, free rent is worth that living situation. The money would be well spent living in peace elsewhere.

Dont report him for suspected killing of a kitten. Report him for the sexual abuse and sttempted murder.

@upandcumming I think you mean it "Isn't worth living"? :p My biggest worry is if I don't do something about him he's going to continue abusing innocents, he's an alcoholic and refuses to do anything about his mental illness

@johnnyskeleton The thing is these happened a very long time ago (Im not even sure my youngest brother is aware of sexual abuse and I never actually saw it, my mother told me) He tried to kill me 15 years ago during a drunken rage because I refused to answer a question, both of my brothers saw this so I have two witnesses, it was a long time ago though so im not sure if I can still do anything about it

    Get a domestic violence order.

There is no statute of limitations for these suspected crimes in Ireland, basically that means there are no time limits.
It doesn't matter if committed 50 years ago or this morning, if you committed sexual/attempted murder you can still be prosecuted.
