    Is this a joke?

Why would someone bother going to DoneDeal for a fiver off or any of the other measly amounts.

    I wouldn't say €50, €100, €200 are measly amounts?

Personally speaking, I'd never buy a voucher off one DoneDeal / Adverts..

.. you could quite easily be buying something without full disclosure of T&C's, or even legitimacy of voucher.

You have no way in knowing if the voucher has already been used. And zero comeback

Fair point, I've sold an Amazon voucher on Done Deal once and met with the fella I was selling it to while he made sure it worked. Most of these are codes rather than physical vouchers so they can be checked online once you have the code. The only problem is, unless you exchange in person, the seller will be wary of the buyer taking the code and not paying and the buyer will be wary of the seller taking the money and not giving the code.

It would just come down to your own negotiations with the seller. But definitely potential for big savings if you can organise to meet the seller in person, or to get the code before paying, etc...

But yeah, definitely need to be cautious.

This is an awful idea. And definitely not a bargain alert.

That hotels one is actually down to €750, so it's €250 off the voucher which is worth €1000, valid "when booking from one of Irelandhotels.com's 600+ listed hotels." Biggest discount I could find so far. Will see if there's anything else tomorrow if I get the chance.

Well this is getting an awful reception! If the mods want to delete, go ahead. Each to their own I suppose, I know of people who have had positive experiences and saved a few hundred euro doing this, personally think it's fine as long as you're cautious about it but the responses this evening would suggest otherwise!!:o:D

Be very aware of any hotel / holiday / photography / service voucher.

Many of these are sold at discounts and have terms and conditions to cover the discount attached - eg hotel must be booked through a specified website.

I can't see the "bargain" in this type of thread either and you'll find people linking in to vouchers they are selling.

I can see this turning into a disaster of a megathread! So closing it temporarily until a discussion with the other mods.
