I am working in Ireland and my wife is working in Germany. We got married this year.

Can I apply in Ireland for tax credit as married? What would be her income from an irish perspective?

    1) Zero, as she is not earning in income in Ireland
    2) The amount of her salary in Germany?
    3) Any other amount?

    Many thanks

To the best of my knowledge you can apply for her tax credit. As she neither lives nor works in Ireland, she has no Irish tax liability.

No, you can't. Your wife is not entitled to Irish tax credits if she is not resident in Ireland for tax purposes

You'll be treated as Separately assessed. Depending on your wife's income, you can apply for aggregation relief once the year is over.

Not quite that black & white, depending on her income, there may be some credit you can benefit from.
