PB Lm make up maybe half our breeding cows and we'd see no real difference between them and the commercials. A couple of them are harder managed and there can be an issue with the horns developing later so have to be skulled or aim and hope with the dehorner......:pac:
We dip in and out of the PB breeding to be honest, they cross just as well (if not better) with a blue or a ch so if they didn't produce nice pedigrees we just reverted them back to commercials. I'm aiming to start breeding for showing & selling in the future so that will probably change a bit.

I used to run a 82 cow suckler herd of which 30 odd of them were pbr BA. Never had an issue with them fertility wise but we had the herd split with a mix of commercial/pbr's and ran two different bulls. Heifers and any cows that I wanted to AI were run in a separate smaller group. A good fence with plenty of power was a must. I once lost a very well bred expensive 20 month old bull with meningitis when the mature bull broke into were he was and fought him. An expensive lesson learned.

I could make some smart ass comment about Pedigree Breeders and the quality of information they are giving you Blonde, but I won't!
