Hi all, 06 caddy with excessive brake pedal travel, brakes are ok'ish, changed master cylinder but no different. No leaks anywhere. Next thing I'm looking at is changing calipers. Any experiences or suggestions?

Unlikely to be calipers I rule out everything else first.

Try bleeding the brakes check flexible hoses if they are worn internally they can swell under pressure reducing what is at caliper.

Are your back brakes drum brakes ?

Discs on back, all bled with a pneumatic bleeding set up. I clamped each hose individually to try and isolate a dodgy caliper but didn't. Hoses look ok but maybe I'll change those first.

I presume brakes are working but you feel they should be better.

If so it might be a vacuume(air) leak between master cylinder and engine
