I have a holiday booked in about 5 weeks and for a few reasons Ive lost interest in the destination. From my understanding the travel agent has the right to no refund when cancelling past a certain date so I was wondering would they allow me to swap this holiday/payment for another holiday booked through them?

It would be entirely up to them.

As was said it will be entirely up to them, could be if the destination is in high demand they might offer you a portion of the money back but from a business point of view they will likely issue no refund. You might have a better chance of a portion back if you approach them with another destination in mind that you want to book at the same time.

Exactly OP... why are you asking us ? Just pick up the phone during business hours and ask them. Nobody here knows what T&Cs are that the travel agent applied to your booking.

    Thread Closed by me.

@OP: Just contact the travel agent involved and ask them.
