Mental health lawyers in the South-East

Hello. There is a close family member who is being threatened with involuntary psychiatric treatment whom I am trying to intervene on behalf of. This is happening in the South-East. Does anyone have recommendations for a lawyer in the South-East (Waterford ideally) with experience in this area?

The situation is quite complex. I know the young man in question very well - and (perhaps needless to say) disagree quite strongly with the measures being put forward supposedly to protect his welfare (which are completely unwarranted IMHO). The person pushing for the treatment on the other hand (his father) is a very well-respected general practitioner. So, this would not only have to be an extremely competent lawyer, but also a brave one.

Naturally, given the very sensitive nature of the situation, I am reluctant to disclose any more details publicly. If more details are needed and if it helps in estimating legal costs, plausibility, etc. - and it is not in breach of the forum guidelines - I can provide them via private message.

Apologies but solicitor recommendations are not allowed as per the forum charter. Use the PM function.
