Cooking on a Range

    HI there

We have an old Stanley Super 90 range with boiler. The thing is great. Needs a little attention from time to time. Currently we cook on it, and in the oven, using mostly wood as fuel, occasionally coal when all the rads are turned well up.

Question is: Can you, and if so how, do you get it hot enough to cook jam ?

    Many thanks in advance.
