Anyone on here know of a spray to kill rushes that's safe to use while grazing? It's going to be put on with a licker if that will make any difference or is it just safer to take them off for the sake of a few days

They all have a withdrawal time.
Honestly I would say your fine with a lick we always left the cattle in the field when licking with roundup

i'd follow what it says on the tin

for the sake of a few days

you'll always hear the "t'is no differnce" but you'll never hear if something went wrong

there is a reason it's on the label

maybe i'm overkill and cathal is the way to go

Only sprayers with boom wider than 3meters need testing.

Best product for what application? Sprayers with a boom length of over 3mover 5 years old have got to be tested and pass prior to use.

I used a lot of MCPA over the last few years on rushes with a licker and it has totally changed the land. Went from basically rubbish to quality grazing ground so can't fault it. Always kept cows out for about a week thou after doing it, if it has the ability to kill the cell of the rush I personally fell its going to do something similar to the cow and wouldn't like to be on the receiving end of that on my own food chain.
