All you really need is Ritual de lo Habitual and Nothing's Shocking. Maybe their self-titled album as well after you've heard those two. Their reunion albums were nothing special.

Strays is a full on rock album, wide departure. Great rock album though.

The Great Escape Artist, I love that album.

But ya, start from the two previous albums.

Seeing them, followed by NIN was mind blowing. Considering the The Tin Tings were on beforehand. The majority of the crowd evaporated like dust.

Also buy the book Whóres, brilliant insight into one fúcked up band. Well bar Perkins.

Start with Nothing's Shocking (their best album imo), followed by Ritual de lo Habitual - both of which are essential listening. Kettle Whistle is an odds and ends collection that's also worth checking out.

Was that at Oxegen a few years back? Loved seeing Jane's Addiction but thought NIN were a bit cringey.

Yup, NIN were a well oiled machine. Barely got a breather. It was worth it alone to see Rubin obliterate the drums.

Strangest moment was the guy pouring liters of coke all over the stage, then moping it up by hand before the band took to the stage.

The Great Escape Artist isn't a bad album. One Hot Minute has shades of JA in it, due to Dave Navarro on guitar duties...

Porno for Pyros had some good stuff too.

Didn't Perry Farrell have some awful project a few years back?

I don't think we'll see JA in Ireland anytime soon. When you see The Coronas filling the Marquee, it makes you cry...

When you listen to The Immediate's album and think if only they hadn't split and The Coronas had.
