Cost of HRT in Ireland

    Does anyone know how much HRT costs in Ireland and if you can get a 6 month prescription or is it only max 3 months.

    There are several different types of HRT made by different companies. The price varies with the prescribed pack. To price we would need to know which pack you have been prescribed.
    Your doctor may prescribe 6 months, however some HRT treatments do not suit
    some individuals and your doctor may then prescribe a different HRT treatment. If you get a few months supply at a time you will not be able to return the unused packs.

    Thanks for that. Femeston is the brand of HRT that suits me best. It would be a low dose.

    Femoston 1/10 or Femoston 2/10 retails on prescription for a month's supply at around €14.00.
    There is no fixed price; having a fixed price would contravene the competition laws. My mentioning of the retail price is not an effort by me to set the retail price.

    Femoston Conti retails with prescription for a month's supply at around €16.60.
