Contemplated posting this in Work & Jobs but guess it's suited to here also.

When I was in college I didn't know what I wanted to go on to do. I fell in to a job when I got my degree but it just paid the bills, I didn't have any love for it. Moved on to where I am now and I'm at a loss as to what to do next. I know I want to leave but I just have no desire to work in any particular field. I don't think it's a lack of ambition, just a total apathy towards the situation.

I haven't really used my degree and at this point it's so long since I got it that it seems to be entirely meaningless. I haven't upskilled at all in my current job. Not one bit. I've worked, that's it. There was no 'proper' interview at the time, just an informal chat really. Which brings me on to another issue which is the interview stage (guess I should worry about the former before I focus on this but it can't be helped).

I've only had a handful of interviews in my life but all of them have been a terrible experience for me. I struggle big time in that environment. Even if I know the answers, I'll manage to make a mess out of it. I remember the last interview I had was cut short because my answers, or lack of, were that bad. I could sense that the two interviewers felt sorry for me. I'm obviously not the only one to experience this but it's so bad that even reading a job advert and seeing something like "make a presentation to..." makes me feel all panicky even thinking about being in that situation.

Basically I want to change jobs but struggling to see how I can get out of this.
