Hitron CGNV4 or Archer C7?

Hi all, just had a new business broadband service installed and they have installed a CGNV4

Previously had the old Upc/Virgin router bridged over to the Archer, which then handled the router side of things

Question is, should I do the same with the new modem or is it capable of replacing the archer?

You can't replace the Hitron. But Virgin Media will bridge a business connection if you call them, no hassle at all.

Thanks but that's not what I was asking, I know I can't replace the hitron, in asking can it replace the archer or is the archer still better to handle the routing/wireless activities

Sorry, oops. I've never tried a Hitron in router mode so I don't know how good or bad it is.

Its ISP grade gear that we won't see on retail sale so it won't be reviewed by the likes of SNB or similar. We can only read the specs.

It would appear Hitron are very much the cheap option, I suspect you'll find its a bare minimum device: itll work, but not well. They really expect business users to have their own setup anyways (SW + managed wifi or similar).
