New Sky Broadband Connection

I dont know if this is the right place for this but if not, could someone point me to the right board.

I ordered Sky TV and Sky Broadband on June 2nd. The phone line was activated on June 2nd, and TV installed and working on June 8th. The broadband was supposed to be active on June 14th (Yesterday) but nothing. I called today and was told it would now be June 22nd at the earliest. Why would it not be activated and could it take longer than the new date given. I have been without broadband since June 2nd when the previous broadband went off.

I got no help or explanation from sky, just that the date had moved.

    Thanks for any advise

Is this sky fibre? Theyve a messy two part install where Sierra do your in home stuff and KNN on behalf of OpenEir do the cab work. Sounds like the latter has been deferred. Not much you can do.

If you're coming from Virgin/Non phone based provider you shouldn't have cancelled until the new service is in place, a double month is worth it to stay online.
