Social Insurance contributions in Spain

I understand that social insurance contributions in any EU country can be counted and added to Irish contributions to assess eligibility for Irish pensions.

But how do you go about getting information on what social contributions you have in Spain? A family member worked there for a few years back in 1990's and has not kept any record of insurance no. What office in Spain would you have to apply to.

It can be done through Ireland but the Spanish insurance number would be needed so they will have to get that first. Best thing would be to contact the welfare office in the area they worked in in Spain.
