hi,can anyone tell me if there are any improvements i can make to my pc audio.i use itunes, which has lots of old mp3s of various different quality.but recently i re ripped my cd collection to alac(painful)i also received a hard drive of hi res audio from a friend that has 192khz,96khz,and 48khz sound files.my friend told me to set itunes to 192khz 24 bit which i did and change to windows audio session instead of direct sound.i am impressed with the new ripped cd collection and the hi res audio but is there anything else that i need to do or am missing.

i have my computer connected to a marantz hd dac(usb) and from there to a primare pre amp to an exposure power amp to a set of high quality speakers.computer is a 1 year old packard bell tower(more info if needed)

If you want to get seriously into computer audio, or for that matter just dip in, have a browse in an Irish high end Hifi forum http://tirnahifi.org/forum/viewforum.php?f=15 which is pushing the envelope in terms of computer audio. It can get a bit daunting but I assure you the lads are very approachable.
