Using an Ariva Combo Box .... all working well until now. RTE News, 3E, RTE2, TG4, TV3 and Saorview show as scrambled. No Irish Radio stations playing. Box came with channels preloaded (I assume for future update) .... should I do a complete rescan to try to get all my channels back ?? Located in Donegal ....

The Irish channels are scrambled on satellite, you need a Sky sub for them. However you should be able to get the terrestrial (Saorview) channels if you have a working aerial connected. Do a terrestrial scan not a satellite scan to find them.

Thank you .... I am using an aerial .... and getting three of the channels RTE1, UTV, RTE Jr. .... the rest of the channels show as scrambled ..... I have rescanned terrestial .... and same result. I have switched aeriel from Combo Box to TV and same result. The EPG program that is current shows .... but no signal ....

What's the signal strength like from the aerial?

I loose rte2 and rte news when my signal strength drops.

If the TV shows the same symptoms then your aerial or cables need attention. If you can't see and fix anything obvious, it may be time to get the pros in.

Took everything apart .... and put it back one bit at a time .... and the culprit seems to be the signal booster .... the electric side of it .... and yet three other channels were O.K. ... maybe the three channels I got do not need any boosting .... Thanks for your help ....

If you mean the power supply for a masthead amplifier, I'm pretty sure the Arivas are capable of putting 5 volts on the aerial cable for amplifier power, & this is enough for some, but not all mastheads.

IIRC, it's in the installation menu > aerial adjustment > DVB-T power on/off.

I've lost every channel except RTE 1 and UTV. I've checked everything and it's all connected properly.
