Development works opposite The Bell

That old house that was knocked opposite the bell, and is currently being built on, I hear the planning authorities are none too happy. Anybody know anything?

Think it was going to be a medical centre.
Didn't have planning permission to knock the old house but did anyway.
All work has stopped on that site for a good while now.

I heard same about proceeding without PP. Also have heard that he has been instructed to reinstate the old house to its former state.

It's incredible that a significant development like this went ahead without seeking the necessary planning permission. I hope it won't be left in it's current state indefinitely as it will just become an eyesore.

The development had planning permission but the demolition did not.

Councillor Roderic O'Gorman wrote: Planning investigation needed about demolition of historic building on Blanchardstown Main Street in November 2014 and then Retention planning permission sought for demolition of Beechview House in Blanchardstown in February 2015.

What was special about that house. Other than it was old.

I always though it was an odd place to build a medical centre when theres almost no parking and its a dang busy location to get in and out of.
