So I am in the market for a 2nd hand disc spreader. Bit of tillage and grassland, working fulltime so was hoping to go for 20/24m spreader with 1.5-2 ton capacity for time economy. Land is fragmented and sick of having to bring loader and trailer of fert.
Is it only me or are spreaders grossly overpriced?! Anything decent is 3k+
    Suggestions welcome.. except wagtail ones!

Found the same thing. Hard to find a clean second hand one. Brand new 1 1/2 ton 5500. Resurrected on old amazon. Bit rough and not spreading great but I'll do this year!!!

If you can find a bogballe in good order, they are pretty much the best around in terms of accuracy

Had a lely centreliner 2 tonne spreader but the gears went in it, took ages to get another one eventually got a second hand rauch 1 tonne spreader which was only a couple of years old. realistically a 2 tonne spreader is too heavy on heavy ground when full so 1 tonne does the job. Paid 3k and sold the old one on dd for 600

Bought an Amazon spreader 2nd hand zax 1600 it spreads 15m but it can be adjusted to spread wider. It came with a cover and cost I think 5.5 k Inc VAT when it was 3 years old
