Travel insurance?

    Does travel insurance cover a minor tip when driving abroad?on holidays here in Italy and car door has a minor dent in it,could be rectified with a plunger but just wondering does holiday insurance cover us if the car rental trying and charge us to fix the damage

    I doubt it, you would need to read your policy document to see what is covered.

    You can buy separate "excess cover" for when you hire a car ... That will cover any excess charges to you.

    Accidental damage is what the policy says so I'm hoping this will cover us

    I would double check if it covers damage to a vehicle you have hired ... Otherwise it would make car hire insurance redundant!
    However, maybe the accident damage was caused to the hire car by one of your children playing around

    Checked my insurance, and it excludes any damage you are liable for due to "owning, possessing or using a mechanically propelled vehicle".
