Aga City60

    Hi there,

Has anyone bought the new Aga City 60?

We have built a kitchen extension and originally were thinking of getting an Aga Dual Control. However, the kitchen is very well insulated and now I am thinking the City 60 might be a better fit, particularly because you can use one oven at a time.

Does the City 60 give any heat into the room? I would like some ambient heat. (I know this contradicts my insulation point above, but we do need rads a bit in the winter - I'm just beginning to wonder if a Dual Control on most of the time, even on slumber, might be excessively warm in a newly-built extension).

I have heard the Aga Total Control doesn't give any heat into the room. Does the City 60 use the same technology? I wonder if the Total Control cooks like the traditional AGA at all, given that the original AGA (and the Dual Control) transmit heat from a single heat source rather than elements embedded in the oven walls.

If the City doesn't provide some heat into the room, what is the difference between the City and a freestanding module (apart from the fact that the module is significantly cheaper)?

    Thanks for your time.
