Disassembling Lidl bread maker

    Does anyone know the magic trick to disassembling a Lidl bread maker? I wanted to give the unit a good clean as assorted crud had built up beneath the element, so I tried to remove the element. That was my first mistake. I thought that removing the single screw holding the element in place would allow me to take it out, but all that happened was a nut dropping off the back *inside* the machine. I tried removing all the other screws with a view to lifting the entire innards out of the case, but that didn't work either.

    There has to be some way to take the machine apart, but I can't work it out. I've googled but I can't find anything. I checked the Lidl service website - http://www.lidl-service.com/cps/rde/xchg/SID-5A9F7839-A4C1066F/lsp/hs.xsl/product.html?id=128127689&title=Bread+Maker&count=1 - but it only has operating & recipe manuals, with no assembly instructions.

    Any suggestions?

    seem to have a join down a bit from the lid: maybe it was glued together there so time for the Dremmel:D
    Can u post a picture of the bottom, any long screws cover with label/tape?

    Throw up a couple of pictures. While your waiting, if there are small rubber feet on the bottom, pry them off. Oftentimes screws are hidden behind these

    Thanks for the replies. I haven't had a chance to get photos, but I did check out the rubber feet on the bottom and the rating label on the bottom too - neither were hiding any screws unfortunately. The next thing to be investigated are a couple of 'plugs' on the top which could well be covering screws. I tried removing one of them earlier but only managed to gouge out a line in the body of the bread maker, so I think I'll have to get out a teeny tiny drill bit and drill through one of them.
