I get the Sunday Independent online from my local library free permanently.

I don't know why you'd want that. Internet is full with free news websites.

It's not exactly the same, a lot won't be in the main app. To pay a €1 for a month to get all issues downloadable on 5 devices I think it's good deal.

Some may see it as a good deal but media hiding behind paywalls is one reason some are declining in sales when you can get the same article elsewhere either free or doctored by another source I just think its a pointless exercise these days to charge or either pay to subscribe.Given you may have one or two exclusives someone else will still get it,its how sharing works especially with social media, but Its not bad compared to what some charge.

No , not an app . I have it a couple of years now . You just register with your library and you get a number to activate your library card. But I get the Sunday independent loads of local papers and also international papers . Great little service , that not many people seem to know about .

Tried to login there but got "Invalid barcode/library card number". Which is strange as I am setup for the free mags and ebooks!

Maybe it depends what library you are with? I am with Dublin City Library, which library are you with?

I'm with Fingal. Sorry, I was assuming it was available to all libraries. Weird that it isn't.
