Return of permit after ban

** Posting this for a friend ** A friend of mine was put off the road 3-4 years ago AFAIK, he just wants to know will he have to go through the whole system of Theory test, Lessons and permit once again when the time comes? His Permit has expired since then and the ban isnt up for another couple of months .

A friend of mine was put off the road 3-4 years ago AFAIK, he just wants to know will he have to go through the whole system of Theory test, Lessons and permit once again when the time comes?

His Permit has expired since then and the ban isnt up for another couple of months .

Contact the RSA

AFAIK, the licence/permit must be in date for the period of the ban.

If it expires, then the clock stops, and only restarts
When the licence/ permit is reissued.

Your *friend*, might be off the road longer that he thinks.
