I'm not sure if this is a bargain alert but it's free so it kind of is. Mods feel free to move it if it's not.

I just came across this app. The only assosiation I have is that I am a member of this app and no way part of the company.

    https://mooojo.com

It gives you free entries into a "lotto" no in app purchase, I'm on 43 entries (lines) atm, not sure if there is a cap to how many you can enter, only thing is though to get an entry to the lotto you have to watch a video ad around 15-30s long . I guess that's how they fund the prizes, ad sponsored as their website says. Current jackpot is $150000 and it's based on the German lotto numbers.

You can create and join teams to play and win together, not sure how that part works but if you want to give it a go my team code is <snip>
As far as I can make out, Joining a team means if anyone in that team wins the big prize a smaller prize is divided to the other team members.

    Taken from their t&cs

Users can connect with their friends to groups of mooojo teams. Teams win extra once any member has an entry matching the winning numbers 100%. The winning amount is split evenly among the members of the winning team. The winner with the matching numbers will be excluded from the split as he has already gained the winning amount for the Jack Pot. If there is more than one team that has a winning number matching their entries the winning amount reserved for teams for that draw will be evenly split among the winning team's first.

If you win they allow withdraws only by PayPal or bank transfer. Min 0.10c

Some of you will like to see the terms and conditions so I found them here.

Have you also considered entering the Spanish Lottery, very profitable endeavor I'm led to believe. Sometimes you don't even need to buy a ticket, or indeed have ever set foot in the country, in order to win.

I've won it 8 times. Great bunch of lads.

I just came across this app.

How did you find this app by the way?

I get emails at least a couple of times a week telling me I have won the lottery in different countries. I just have to send my bank details and some security information for them to transfer the winnings.

Everyone's first thought is going to be scam. However, it is free to enter and the winning numbers are linked to the German National Lotto, so if the numbers match how can they say you didn't win?
Still will put this in the "If it looks too good....." category.

Just pretending this is legit for a sec, couple of things in the FAQ to note. Winnings aren't tax free.
Also, max payout is $5k per month. So if you are lucky enough to win the jackpot, it would be 2.5 years before you got all the winnings. Still wouldn't mind winning! :pac:

This paragraph from the T&C is a little curious:
The nature of this game is to entertain and there are no legal rights attached to claiming a win or any bonus promised. The accounts inside the mooojo game (mobile application, website application) only hold virtual currency with no value and no rights attached. All currencies and amounts mentioned or displayed inside the mobile application or on the connected websites are totally virtual, part of the entertainment and not related to any existing currency.

Yet they still bang on about Paypal, SEPA payments and transaction fees after that.

If it's free, then you're the product.

I would suspect H8GHOTI that part of the clause is aimed at everyone, but more specifically under 18s (as they say the app is for people aged 14) who legally shouldn't be gambling and cannot actually legally get into a legally binding contract due to being minors in the eyes of the law.

I'd see it as a means to harvest sensitive information such as paypal and bank account details, as well as specific user profile information and targeting an under age segment in gambling disguised as "entertainment" and "fun" to access all the school kids during the summer holidays and cross-access to their SM networks. If they have to watch a video of 15-30 mins (what sort of videos are these btw? what kind of content?) it'll eat their data while helping children get addicted to gambling. Yes, a very ethical company targeting children and gambling

dodgy as **** imo especially when on itunes it says it's only suitable for mature audiences and you need to be at least 17 years of age to download it

    https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/mooojo-free-lotto/id1076703646?mt=8

It's also removed from Google Play but still on itunes

They also state there is a Privacy Policy but do not include any link to it in the T&Cs. And also do not provide the Privacy Policy on the website at all.

Very dubious all in all. I would suspect the real business is getting people to "play" to expose them to 3rd party advertising who pay Relevant Media Labs Ltd who in turn get all the users data and financial information and sell on to 3rd parties. I would be extremely sceptical of anyone playing to ever see any money from it, and even if they did, it most likely would be wiped out by the transactions fees and charges, so nobody will "profit" except Relevant Media Labs and their 3rd party companies.

Clifton House part of the registered address, also hosts virtual offices btw, so I assume while it's "legit" on paper as a registered company it's a virtual office so there's little comeback if you wanted to actually get your money.

Website has typos and various mistakes, has never been proofread and judging by the language used on the website the assumed legally binding parts have never had a legal eye over it. In other words, it's total BS.

I only came across it today so I haven't been included in any draws yet but to sign up they ask you for a name, email and to create a password to login. No other info is required, I'm not sure if it is classed as gambling as you aren't spending anything to enter it. And if I win anything I would get it sent to my PayPal account, all they get there is just an email address, obviously for security concerns don't use same PayPal password as this one.
I also take part in other offers where you download apps for free to gain points and then use those points to get vouchers for Amazon or iTunes and they have always paid out.
Who is to say that this isnt working off the same theory except in a different direction.
Not every lotto offer is a scam but you have to be more vigilant with them more than anything else.

If it doesn't cost me anything and all they have is a simple email address then I am going to try it. It's good to be cautious but not overly cautious.

The website is based in Germany and registered in Ireland.

It says they have an office in Ireland but checking this out its a virtual office in Dublin.

Reading their terms and conditions to to comply with money laundering they can only transfer $5000 a month - I taught it was a lot higher than this, within Ireland it's €15k not sure about international.

If you win you have to pay 2% for the PayPal transaction which is normal to receive any money from PP.

It also mentions tax, and says to check with your local tax authority if you have to pay tax on it.

Draw takes place every Sat at 7.25pm and they give a link to view it live.

I've emailed them about their privacy policy as the link doesn't work on their site.

I was gonna sign up for this but then, as luck would have it, I've just been contacted via email and been informed that a distant relative whom I never knew existed(lived in Spain by the way)has just passed. Apparently I'm the sole benefactor and now I stand to inherit approx. €17,500,000! And the best thing is the money is going to be wired straight to my bank account! I've just sent on all my personal details. So that's me sorted financially until my end of days! No more lotto for me!!

    Seriously, what are the chances!!!!:)

    Hmmm,
Although if you were setting up a non-existent lotto where people earn you money by viewing ads, the really clever thing to do would be to give each subscriber a tiny percentage of what they generate, or just random tiny payouts to encourage them to keep talking part.
