So that was the End of The Beginning of NXT... wait what?

Anyway NXT is moving on to a new phase and there are going to be some big changes with the WWEs third brand. Why? well because on July 11th (2 weeks before Battleground, the PPV after MITB) the WWE is having it's draft so as to give Smackdown it's own completely unique roster as it goes live from then onwards on Tuesdays.

My suggestions will go in my next post but, who do you think will make the move from NXT?

and perhaps more importantly who do you think will be left to carry that brand?

    going to the main roster
    Finn Balor
Shinsuke Nakamura (WWE needs a japanese star on the main roster)
    Bayley
    American Alpha
    Alixa Bliss
    Tye Dillinger
    Angelo Dawkins

    The NXT frontrunners post draft
Samoa Joe (will join the main roster before the end of the year)
    Eric Young
    Bobby Roode
    Austin Aries
    Hideo Itami
    Asuka
    Nia Jax
    Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson

A few main roster guys such as Jack Swagger, Curtis Axl, Tyler Breeze, Fandango should go to NXT

    Leaving NXT:

    Finn Balor, Bayley, American Alpha

all 3 have dropped their belts recently and are over with the fans so would be obvious choices to move up so as to really make an impact. Finn obviously has his Bullet club buddies on that roster already while Bayley has the other Horsewoman.

    Shinsuke Nakamura

This guy can help define a new era of Smackdown or Raw and I would not be surprised if he was on a very big contract so when you are going to be taking a load of guys from NXT why not this big ball of charisma.

Alexa Bliss, Tye Dillinger, (Blake & Murphy)

She made her NXT TV debut 3 years ago and he has been in developmental for years, not everyone brought up will do so after a run as champ (see Dana Brook or Corbin/Breeze) and these are my picks to make the jump. I'm not sure about Blake and Murphy but if they wanted each brand to have their own tag titles then having Baby Trish Stratus debut as their valet as well as an in ring competitor might be a way to go.

    Staying in NXT:

Samoa Joe, The Revival & Asuka

reversal of the first 3 above, these three are relatively new champs in NXT and their divisions will need them as will NXT as draws most likely until the end of the year at least. The Revival maybe need to work on their individual characters (I still remember the chants about which one is which at Takeover Dallas) even though they have the in ring stuff down so there is that too.

Bobby Roode, Austin Aries, Hideo Itami

Okay he isn't really an NXT guy but he has been at two specials in a row and talking backstage with Regal he seems like a new NXT singining and not a new main roster signing so one would think he will be ther to fill the Balor / Nakamura type void. Aries on the other hand I was thorne about as I don't think they would want too many TNA guys but they need a number capable of going one on one with Joe not just Roode so if Nakamura goes up i'd say Aries will stay if Nakamura stayed though maybe it'd be different. If Hideo ever gets back from injury all the lads that for storyline reasons might have been his attacker are probably gone but one would think he wont follow them and will stay in NXT for now

Andrade "Cien" Almas (La Sombre), Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa, Tino Sabbatelli

Almas just debuted and got a big win and I can see him being one of the guys pushed in the undercard of NXT for the next year. Gargano & Ciampa will probably start to play more of a role in the tag division especially if more than American ALpha move up and just cos of how much Sabbatelli gets focused on in breaking ground, his American football career and how he has already been in NXT for around 2 years I wouldn't be surprised if he starts to get onto the actual show (not saying gets a big push)

Ember Moon (Athena), Nia Jax, Carmella

This lady (Athena) is tipped to be the next big thing in the womans divison in NXT so along with Nia Jax, Carmella and a few other she will probably make the step up sooner or later

It is a given that Balor is destined to be one of the marquee drafts when it is conducted. They'll have him with his Bulletclub crew in no time.

My guts tell me Shinsuke will be NXT champion before he is plucked from the show.

I just hope they dont ''water down'' Shinsuke when he does get called up

Of course he will. I hope when he does get called out don't have wrestling on Raw or Smackdown every week, only wrestle on TV now and again and big Matches on PPV. I really hope Aries makes it to the main roster, but he is in his late 30's & small, if he does I hope he gets a good run.

Watching Takeover, I feel American Alphas could be the biggest tag team in quite some time, but I think The Revival's role in that shouldn't be overlooked; the two teams worked so, so well together, and I just adored the psychology on display from both teams. Would love to see both called up.

Kurt angle retuning and turning american alpha into the new team angle wud be cool

    Funaki as shinsukes mouth piece/manager

They couldn't be doing any more to turn them into Angle. The singlet, amateur wrestling background, ankle lock, they really are being turned into Team Angle already

Really don't think Nakamura needs any sort of manager/mouthpiece, maybe Hideo Itami could do with one but not Nakamura

I'd like to see Angle back and teamed up with American Alpha, a great idea.

Funaki and Shinsuke though? No, never, please for the love and honor of God, no!

Wouldn't be surprised to see Corey Graves move to Smackdown too

Raw: JBL, Cole, Jerry Lawler (not my ideal trio but a guess)
SD: Corey Graves, Byron Saxton, Mauro Ranallo (could be good but more importantly a very different unique feel to this trio)

I guess the Authors of Pain will play a big role on NXT going forward too as its a pretty big deal for a developmental team to have Paul Ellering as their manager

Isn't Jerry on Smackdown due to his health?

Though I would like to hear Corey with Mauro. Do they do the preshows for PPVs?

I thought they were just starting to phase Jerry out tbh but SD going live would kinda mean that there would be very little difference between the shows anyway and for me if they want a unique feel to both shows the commentary team would be a place to start, and moving Jerry plus not having Byron on both shows could achieve this.

If they are considering NXT a 3rd brand maybe some main roster guys will go that way too. The obvious one would be Zack Ryder if the Hype Bros (I know not everyones favs) are to still be a thing.

Ah yeah, didn't take in to account SD being live. Though Raw is still the longer show
