hi all, looking to purchase a 6 bale trailer a good distance away. am looking for quotes for transport, but was thinking that I could get a loan or hire a large Commercial van or jeep if they would be able to pull it. so my question is would an opel Opel Vivaro or Renault Master be able to/legal to transport a bale trailer?

    thanks

We bought one years ago and collected with a pick up so long as you have a pin hitch. There's little weight in them empty.
If your buying from a dealer surly they would deliver for less than the cost/hassle of hireing a van.

The father once brought it about 10 miles on the back of an 89 Corolla on an ordinary ball hitch the back was well down on her.

    ha, fair play to him.
I looking to buy one secondhand. would save me a lot of hassle alright to get someone else to deliver, but seems costly.
    thanks

I bought one years ago and towed it home behind a jeep. There's no weight in them. I let most of the air out of the tyres to stop her bouncing along.
Nowadays I'd dunno would I be so inclined to tow it myself.

How many miles away approx? If not too far then a jeep or tractor. Jeep and car transporter also may work. I've brought a 3t dumper on one. Bought a low loader in Cookstown Tyrone and brought it home with tractor :D

Go for it with tractor or get sumone to pick it up for ya,what ever it costs will b cheap compared to when u get stopped by the law or worse still have an accident..
