Looking at getting an UltraNote from PC Specialist. This one in particular. It should come to €510 with the i5, no hard drive and no Windows (have a spare SSD and Windows license). I've been looking at alternatives in that price range and above and most either have a crap processor, a crap low res screen or are coming in at around €1000. Is there any decent alternatives that I've missed that are close in price to the UltraNote.

Given your requirements I really don't think there are many options. The 500€ range of laptops are only just starting to get higher res screens now it's far from the norm. Getting an i5 and a good screen for that money seems a good bet. Albert without an OS or hard disk!
