Hi all, hoping someone might have some insight re incremental credit. I am registered in the Further Ed sector with the TC. As I only qualified last year I have been put on the first point of the scale. For the past year I have been teaching in a College of Further Education on a pro rata contract of 11 hours. Prior to returning to education (among other things), I had worked as an SNA for 7 years. Am I being niave in thinking I might be able to apply for non teaching incremental credit for this work? My learners are a very diverse cohort and many have a disability. Undoubtedly my previous experience as an SNA has been very useful in terms of classroom management although the ages are totally different. Realistically is there any point in me applying for IC? Many thanks for any help.
