Just wondering if you are allowed to bring in a small bar to eat during some of the longer exams like English paper two which is 3hrs20mins long?

LOL f*** no. The last thing the other candidates want is the sound of some guy getting stuck into a "bar" when they're wracking their brains for quotations. Even if it were allowed, it'd be downright inconsiderate.

Pretty sure I saw people bring in food last year no problem.

    We're allowed... lol

To OP, I guess it depends on examiner. Ask them before going in

Yeah you can bring "quiet" food in :P if you bring in a bar, open it before the exam starts so you don't make noise.

Check with the Superintendent. Their decision will be based on your centre.
Obviously noisy packaging or smelly food is a no-no.

For people with a medical need, for example people with diabetes, arrangements will be made.

LOL! The thought of a LC student trying to quietly eat a melting piece of chocolate that he unwrapped in a hot, sweaty classroom is too funny. Perhaps avoid bringing in a "bar" OP.

Why not bring in a nice shiny apple?

Yeah obviously I meant something quite like a nutrigrain bar, which won't melt and doesn't make any noise eating it. Even something like raisins etc. I was only asking no need to get so sarcastic with me.

Check with your superintendent beforehand but generally food is allowed, within reason of course!

lol I'm sorry, man. Just taking out some of my stress/anxiety by being a jerk.

If you eat shortly before you go in, surely you'd be able to stick out the 3 hours.

Maybe bring in water if you want, but I can't see the sense (especially time-wise) in bringing in food.

You can bring food in, just be considerate to other students. Don't bring something that everyone in the room will be able to smell and nothing with a noisy packet.

If you do bring something in, open the packet or wrapper before the exam starts and leave it on your desk so you're not annoying the people around you in the middle of the exam. It's stressful situation and the person ripping open a chocolate bar will annoy the person next to them.
