    Where in Dublin 15 would I go to get these types of garden doors, of a closeboard variety

    my present door has succumbed to repeated damage in penalty shoot puts

    Goodwins have a few different options for side gates. Do you know if its a standard size?

    I would always recommend putting in cross piece at the top of the gate, makes the frame much stronger and transfers the weight of the gate to the other wall/post. Goodwins sell a 4.8m length of pressure treated 4x2 timber for €10. If cut correctly you will get the top of the frame and two side posts from it. Make sure the top of the frame is sung between the sides so its giving good support. .
